The first Mandalay Investment Fair was held at the Mandalay Hill Resort on 30 September 2015. The event was organized jointly by the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), JICA and the Mandalay Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI). On August 12, 2015 All MMID employees together with Chairman U Aung Win Khaing celebrated Wa So at MIP head office in Mandalay. This is the third straight year that MMID hosted the Wa So celebration ceremony.
On July 8, 2015, Chairman U Aung Win Khaing, opened MMID’s site administration office at the Myotha Industrial Park (MIP). MMID Senior Management and staff attended the event. The office staff will oversee daily site activities and transactions to ensure that all the site related jobs and tasks have been carried properly.
On 24 June 2015, 8 students and 1 staff from National University of Singapore visited the MMID information center in Mandalay. This was part of STEER Myanmar (Study Trips for Engagement and Enrichment). The MIP main entrance gate on Highway #18 was finished in May 1st. As 1.8 miles long two lane concrete roads has also been completed giving better access to the site. Two ready-made factories are also being built and will be ready for occupancy at the end of June. Multiple shop-houses are also under construction [...]

Since land plots in the MMID land Phase I-A became available in May 2014, Myanmar and investors from the ASEAN Region continue to show strong interest in locating at the MIP.
