The MIP main entrance gate on Highway #18 was finished in May 1st. As 1.8 miles long two lane concrete roads has also been completed giving better access to the site. Chief Minister's Visit to Semeikhon Port (SMP) Site Office on 11th April 2013. This marked one-year since his first visit to the SMP in April 12. In the 2012 visit, it was held on the site, in the open. In 2013, his visit was at the completed Site Office which is built of local hardwoods.
MMID shares were launched to public from 3rd April to 27th Aug 2013. Altogether 3.6million shares were offered to Myanmar citizens above age 18 and to Myanmar wholly-owned companies. To inform the public about MMID, a Prospectus was published and distributed.
MMID was incorporated on 27 February 2013 as a public company limited. All the earlier works and permits which were done by its parent company Royal Hi-Tech Group Company (RHGC) would thereafter be transferred to MMID.
